After years of huge turnouts with estimated crowds of 65,000, it is no surprise that restaurateur Frank Chivas partnered again with Clearwater Mayor and current Bright House Network executive Brian Aungst Sr. to bring the event back again for the 4th year. The 2012 event is expected to be bigger, better, and faster!

This year’s festivities will begin at the Baystar Race Village with a special meet and greet with the race teams and their prized boats at noon on Friday, September 28. The fun continues all weekend with Blast Friday, Make-a-Difference Foundation Fishing Tournament, Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demonstration, and concert by Star Spectacular All Star Band, just to name a few. All weekend events lead up to race day on Sunday, September 30 where you can watch the race from Pier 60 at Clearwater Beach. Tickets range between $5-$20 and can be purchased at Pier 60 on race day September 30, 2012. Don’t miss your chance to see some the world’s fastest super boats race on the Clearwater Beach course at speeds exceeding 180 mph. It’s like NASCAR meets Clearwater beach!

Proceeds of the Clearwater Super Boat National Championship will benefit Clearwater Community Sailing Center, Sailability, and The Make a Difference Fishing Tournament, which offers special water programs for children and adults of all abilities.

Be part of all the fun at The Clearwater Pier 60, only minutes from your Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina.
