The Top Gun Triathlon in St. Petersburg, FL, is back for it’s 12th year on July 28, 2012, starting at 7:00 am. Runners, bikers, and swimmers are invited to attend the annual event. Proceeds will benefit Friends of Fort De Soto, therefore by participating you are helping make a difference!
The Top Gun Triathlon is considered one of the top triathlons in Florida and because of this, it is important to register as soon as possible for the triathlon. For registration information, see Top Gun Triathlon Registration.
To participate in the triathlon, all registrants must have a USAT license. You can either purchase a one day license on the day of the triathlon or visit www.usatriathlon.org and purchase a year license. Biking rental will also be available the day of the triathlon.
The swimming portion of the triathlon will cover 1/4 of a mile while biking will cover approximately 10 miles and running, 3.1 miles. To view a map of the course in Fort De Soto, see Course Map.
The Top Gun Triathlon will take place at 3500 Pinellas Bayway, S Tierra Verde, FL 33715 at Ft. De Soto Park and is less than a 30-minute drive from Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina. Remember to register early because the Top Gun Triathlon has sold out for the past five years in a row! Bring your friends and family to not only participate but to also help out with a great cause.
